ReportingtotheManagerofHumanResourcesServices,theprimaryfocusoftheHumanResourcesGeneralististoleadthefull-timerecruitmentprocessfortheCityofBrantford.TheHumanResourcesGeneralistisresponsiblefortherecruitmentandselectionprocessforunionizedandnon-unionizedpositions,frompostingpositionsthroughtoonboardingprocedures.TheHumanResourcesGeneralistprovidesguidanceandadvicetoclientgroupswithrespecttoemployeerelationsmatters.Inaddition,theHumanResourcesGeneralistworkscollaborativelywiththeHumanResourcesServicesTeam,toassisttheHumanResourcesBusinessPartnersbyassistingwithlabourandemployeerelationsresearch,andavarietyofdepartmentalprojectsandadministrativeduties.Applicantsmustbeavailabletooccasionallyworkeveningsandweekendstoconductinterviews.

Qualifications

- Mustpossessaminimumofathree(3)yeardiplomaordegreeinarelatedfieldfromanaccreditedCollegeorUniversityprogram.
- PreferablyholdsorworkingtowardsaCertifiedHumanResourcesProfessional(CHRP)designation.
- Over2yearsofhumanresourcesexperience,preferablywithinaMunicipality,includingrecruitmentandselectionexperienceinaunionizedenvironmentrequired.
- Mustbecommittedtoprofessionalismandteamwork;possessingacomprehensiveknowledgeofcontemporaryHRpracticesandlegislationwithastrongemphasisoncustomerservice.
- MusthaveknowledgeofMicrosoftOfficeSoftware.
