Overview

WTF Group is seeking a skilled and detail-driven Accountant to join our finance team. This position is responsible for supporting the financial operations of our commercial real estate portfolio as well as providing bookkeeping for several small investment corporations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and real estate, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple entities with accuracy and efficiency.

Duties
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
Prepare quarter-end and year-end journal entries for insurance, property taxes, accruals, and related adjustments
Perform account analysis and reconcile sub-ledger details to the general ledger
Maintain the general ledger and working paper files for commercial properties and small investment corporations
Prepare monthly cash flow statements for corporate entities and properties
Complete and file monthly/quarterly HST returns online
Manage bookkeeping activities for small investment corporations, including transaction coding, and intercompany entries
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related matters




Support ad hoc projects and perform other duties as required

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Yardi is an asset
Solid understanding of full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping for multiple entities
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
High level of accuracy, reliability, and a strong sense of accountability

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
