Indigo Education is looking for We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated AP Course Tutor to support high school students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including AP Calculus, AP Psychology, AP English (Language & Literature), and AP Economics (Micro/Macro). The tutor will provide subject-specific instruction, exam preparation, and academic mentoring to help students achieve strong course performance and high AP exam scores.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one and/or small-group tutoring for AP courses
- Explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching strategies to students’ learning styles
- Help students develop exam strategies aligned with the AP curriculum and College Board standards
- Problem-solving and analytical skills (especially for AP Calculus & Economics)
- Reading comprehension, essay writing, and argumentation (especially for AP English)
- Content mastery and application of theories (especially for AP Psychology)
- Assist with AP exam preparation, including practice tests, FRQs, MCQs, and time management
- Review homework, quizzes,



tests, and school assignments
- Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents when appropriate
- Encourage effective study habits, academic confidence, and independent learning

Skills:
- Strong academic background in one or more AP subjects:
- AP Calculus (AB and/or BC)
- AP Psychology
- AP English Language and/or Literature
- AP Economics (Microeconomics and/or Macroeconomics)
- Prior experience tutoring, teaching, or mentoring high school students preferred
- Familiarity with College Board AP curriculum and exam format
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
- Organized, responsible, and student-focused

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
