About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, leading the team, delivering excellent customer service, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Monitor sales, inventory, and store performance
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Receive, move, load, and unload fitness equipment and inventory
- Assemble fitness equipment according to manufacturer instructions
- Support merchandising and promotional activities
- Step in to manage the store in the Store Manager’s absence

Qualifications
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move items weighing over 80 lbs is required




- Ability to assemble fitness equipment according to manufacturer instructions, or a strong willingness and ability to learn
- Basic mechanical or hands-on skills are an asset
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Positive attitude and strong customer-service focus

Physical Requirements This position involves regular handling, assembly, and movement of heavy fitness equipment. The ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing over 80 lbs is an essential requirement of the position. Proper lifting techniques and safe handling procedures must be followed at all times.
