Duties

- Perform comprehensive safety inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting and operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial equipment when necessary for repairs or maintenance
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications




- Assist with the maintenance of shop tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation

Skills

- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with strong mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Experience working with Caterpillar or similar industrial equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to automotive or industrial applications is advantageous
- Skilled in welding, electrical troubleshooting, schematics reading, and assembly processes
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures for automotive and industrial machinery
