Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods and related products
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Restock shelves, display cases, and ensure product freshness throughout your shift
- Upsell bakery items by suggesting complementary products to enhance customer experience
- Support food preparation tasks such as slicing bread or packaging baked goods as needed




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations

Skills

- Proven experience in food service or retail sales environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Robust customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and sanitation standards to ensure safety and compliance
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions
