PAVIA Gallery ~ Espresso Bar & Café is looking for a full-time Baker / Kitchen Cook to join our small team in Herring Cove. This is a varied position with two days each week dedicated to our bakery and three days working in our café kitchen, preparing the house-made food our customers have come to know us for.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys making great food and takes pride in working in a clean, organized kitchen. You’ll prepare baked goods, soups, salads, panini and other café items from start to finish, while helping with prep, inventory, food safety and the day-to-day rhythm of a busy independent café. You should be comfortable working independently, managing your time, following recipes consistently and jumping in wherever needed.

We’re looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in baking and/or qualified food preparation
- Organized, efficient and attentive to detail
- Comfortable working independently




- Calm and capable during busy periods
- Friendly, flexible and happy to be part of a small team
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Food Handler Certified in Nova Scotia, or able to obtain certification before starting

PAVIA has been part of the Herring Cove community since 2011. We’re a busy café, bakery, gallery and community gathering place about 20 minutes from the Halifax Armdale Rotary. Full-time position | 5 days per week
