Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, providing friendly service and answering their questions about menu items
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist in food preparation and food handling to ensure quality standards are met at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating zones
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operation and balancing tills




- Support food safety practices by adhering to hygiene standards and proper food handling procedures

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS or similar transaction platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, order processing, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
