Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role requires a positive attitude, strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as a barista is mandatory. Preference may be given to those interested in providing social media skills to the position.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages using standard recipes and equipment.
- One-day off-site unpaid training is required for specialized coffee services within first 3 months of employment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS and cash handling procedures.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Follow food safety and food handling guidelines to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure all food service activities comply with health regulations and safety standards.




- Team player who takes pride in their role as a barista.
- Ability to provide social media posts is an asset.
- Safe food handling certificate is an asset.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista is required; training will be provided for all new hires.
- Knowledge of POS systems.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
