Commercial Snow Removal – Sidewalks

C.I.D. Trenching Ltd. – Grande Prairie, AB

C.I.D. Trenching Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team for commercial snow removal this winter.

The primary responsibility of this position will be early-morning commercial sidewalk snow removal, helping ensure our customer sites are safe and accessible before businesses open. This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in doing a job properly.

Responsibilities

- Clear and maintain commercial sidewalks and entrances during winter snow events
- Operate snowblowers, shovels, sidewalk equipment and other snow-removal tools
- Ensure walkways are clean and salted as needed.
- Pull trailers and transport snow-removal equipment between job sites
- Safely operate vehicles and trailers in winter road conditions
- Complete early-morning snow removal shifts, including during weekends and holidays when required
- Work safely and independently with minimal supervision
- Keep equipment, tools and work areas clean and organized
- Assist with other C.I.D. work between snow events and throughout the winter season
- Opportunities to gain experience operating sand trucks and other equipment
- Assist with shop cleaning, equipment maintenance and general labour
- Assist crews on other construction and civil projects as required

Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Experience pulling trailers in winter road conditions




- Comfortable driving in snow, ice and poor winter weather
- Able to work safely and independently
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently start work early in the morning
- Physically capable of performing outdoor snow-removal work
- Previous commercial snow-removal experience is an asset
- Experience operating a snowblower, skid steer, loader or sand truck is an asset
- Construction, labour or equipment experience is an asset
