- Attend and participate in meetings and trainings.
- Ensure a clean, safe and well-organized spa.
- Set up spas and workstations, and ensure cleanliness and order throughout the shift.
- Help keep linens clean and tidy and change them between sessions.
- Disinfection equipment.
- Accompany clients to and from treatment rooms.
- Consult with clients to determine the right massage service.
- Offers massage services listed in brochures.
- Record keeping and document storage.
- Comply with all applicable standards, rules and regulations.
- Examine the client to identify imbalances and areas of pain or tension on their body.
- Perform different types of massage for clients according to their needs or preferences, such as Swedish massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, Shiatsu massage, sports massage and prenatal massage.
- Discuss the client's medical history, problem areas on their body, and expectations prior to the first massage sessions.
- Develop an individualized treatment plan for the client stating the type of massage needed, problem areas, and frequency of massage sessions.
- Refer clients to healthcare professionals if necessary.
- Advise clients on appropriate posture improvement techniques and relaxation exercises.




- Maintain detailed records of the client's progress and adjustments to the treatment plan.
- Make sure the massage rooms are well stocked with massage supplies.

Requirements

- High school diploma, GED or appropriate equivalent.
- Over 6 months of experience working as a massage therapist.
- Extensive knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stones, trigger points, sports and deep tissue massage.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Great relationship skills.
- Clean, professional appearance.
- Skilled and able to stand for long periods of time.
- Feel free to perform massages for many different clients.
- State Licensed Massage Therapist.
- Proven work experience in spas, massage therapy centers or similar environments.
- Good knowledge of different massage modalities.
- CPR training.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
