We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead the successful delivery of client technology initiatives while providing day-to-day leadership to a highly skilled technical team.

Location : Hybrid 3d/week in office (Toronto or Ottawa or Winnipeg)

This is not a traditional PMO role . The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation and be comfortable operating at the intersection of project delivery, client management, technical teams and people leadership .

The role combines elements of Project Manager, Scrum Master and Technical People Manager . You will work directly with clients, coordinate delivery across multiple projects, assess project feasibility, manage project financials and utilization, and coach and develop technical team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership The Project Delivery Manager will provide direct leadership to a team of approximately eight professionals, including:

- 6 Senior Systems Specialists
- 1 Solutions Architect
- 1 Project Coordinator

Responsibilities will include performance management, coaching, workload management, professional development and ensuring team members remain accountable for delivery commitments. Project & Client Delivery

- Lead multiple client-facing technology projects from initiation through delivery.
- Act as the primary coordination point between clients, technical resources and internal stakeholders.
- Establish project scope, timelines, milestones, resource requirements and delivery expectations.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and provide Scrum Master-style leadership where appropriate.
- Identify project risks, dependencies and delivery issues and drive them toward resolution.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure explicit, proactive communication throughout engagements.

Technical & Delivery Governance

- Work with technical specialists and architects to assess the feasibility, complexity and delivery requirements of proposed projects.
- Ensure projects are appropriately scoped and resourced before delivery commitments are made.




- Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, utilization and billable hours.
- Oversee timesheet accuracy and ensure appropriate governance around billable and non-billable activities.
- Identify projects at risk of schedule, scope or financial variance and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously improve project delivery processes, governance and operational discipline.

People Leadership

- Provide direct leadership, coaching and performance management for technical team members.
- Set clear expectations and hold individuals accountable for commitments while maintaining a constructive, supportive leadership style.
- Coach employees with different working and communication styles and create an environment where diverse team members can perform effectively.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, provide feedback and support professional development.
- Help balance project demands, individual workloads and team capacity.
- Foster a culture that embraces change, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

- 7+ years of experience working within technology delivery, professional services, systems integration or a related technical environment .
- Demonstrated experience managing technology projects and working directly with clients.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage credibly with engineers, systems specialists, architects and other technical professionals.
- Previous experience leading or managing technical team members.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices and experience performing Project Manager and/or Scrum Master responsibilities.
- Experience with project scoping, estimation and feasibility assessment.
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, including project budgets, utilization, billable hours and resource planning.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced organization where structures, processes and priorities continue to evolve.
