Responsibilities

- Perform skilled dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain patient oral health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while ensuring patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to improve their dental health outcomes.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix, documenting treatments and observations clearly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions, alleviating concerns,



and fostering a positive experience.
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care tailored to their needs, creating a comfortable environment for all ages.
- Stay current with industry best practices, including updates in orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.

Qualifications

- Valid state licensure or certification as a Dental Hygienist with active registration.
- Proven experience in a dental office setting, demonstrating proficiency in dental assisting and patient care.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately and apply it effectively in clinical documentation.
