Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director (Principal) for our CEFA Beltline location. This leadership role is vital in guiding the school's educational excellence, operational efficiency, and team development. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality early childhood education, managing budgets, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and children.

Your leadership will help shape the future of young learners while maintaining the school's mission of supporting age-appropriate learning and development.

Duties

- Oversee daily school operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety protocols
- Develop and manage budgets effectively to support program quality and operational needs
- Implement strategies for staff recruitment, training, mentorship, and professional growth
- Foster strong relationships with families to promote community engagement and satisfaction
- Maintain a positive, inclusive school culture that encourages collaboration, innovation,



and continuous improvement skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of educators
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with staff, families, and community partners
- Ability to organize multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

This position is open to all applicants who hold a valid Alberta Early Childhood Education- Level 3 preferred- have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in management of a child-care setting. Knowledge of Word (latest version), Windows, Excel, Canva, and the Internet is a must. Extensive CEFA Principal training will be provided. The Principal’s role is to inspire Teachers to become better Teachers, and to facilitate the implementation of the CEFA educational method and philosophy.

For that, the Principal will always be respectful of ideas, be a true listener and be prepared with countless resources and ideas to bring to the table. Other job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring that the CEFA curriculum and general operational policies are carried out*.*
- Provide stimulation and motivation for Teachers to spend time growing and learning together.
- Hiring and new Staff Orientation
- Conducting new family/student interviews.
- Monitoring Teacher’s progress and providing positive feedback, regularly.
- Working a minimum of 15 hours per week in-class, with each and every Teacher, observing Teachers leading their activities, as well as presenting activities at times.
- Working with Teachers to hone their strengths and continue to develop in all areas.

Very competitive salary paid biweekly, plus medical/dental benefits, extended care plan, meals, tuition discount for your child/ren, and professional-development days. Closed two weeks at Winter Break, and one week Spring Break Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
