Grand River Early Learning Academy is looking for Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs) to join our team!

We’re a busy, fun and family-focused child care centre serving children from infants through school age. We’re looking for caring, dependable people who genuinely enjoy working with children and want to be part of a supportive team.

Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Full-Time: Monday–Friday, rotating 8.5-hour shifts

Part-Time: Various weekday shifts available

We are looking for team members who are adaptable and able to work within our Monday–Friday operating hours. No weekends!

What you’ll be doing

- Supporting educators with the daily care and supervision of children
- Helping create a safe, welcoming and engaging classroom setting
- Participating in play, activities and programming
- Supporting daily routines including meals, snacks, dressing, toileting and rest
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Helping maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Supporting children’s individual needs and interests
- Working collaboratively with educators and other GRELA team members
- Following all health, safety, allergy and child-care policies
- Jumping in to support different classrooms and age groups when needed

What we’re looking for: Previous experience working with children is mandatory.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Strong written and spoken English is mandatory
- Previous experience working with children is mandatory
- First Aid & CPR Level C certification — must be obtained before/at the required stage of employment
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must meet applicable Ontario child-care employment requirements
