Early Childhood Educators – Lead Staff & Team Members

Little Munchkins Childcare is excited to be opening a new location in Valemount, BC, and we are looking for qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our growing team.

We are currently hiring for both Lead Staff and Childcare Team Member positions, with an anticipated start date in the last week of October 2026.

Mandatory Qualification

Applicants must hold a valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate.

Applications without an ECE Certificate will not be considered for these positions.

About the Roles

Successful candidates will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, explore, and grow.

Responsibilities may include

- Supervising and engaging with children throughout the day
- Planning and leading age-appropriate programming and activities
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and developmental needs
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized childcare environment
- Communicating professionally with families and coworkers
- Following BC childcare licensing requirements and centre policies
- Completing required documentation
- Supporting daily routines, transitions, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods
- Working collaboratively as part of the Little Munchkins team

Lead Staff will also take on additional responsibilities, including supporting and directing team members, helping ensure required documentation is completed,



and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the program.

Requirements

- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate – Required
- Experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting is an asset
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, patient, organized, and positive
- Comfortable taking initiative and working independently when required
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Satisfactory criminal record check
- References will be required
