Company Description Amicus Health Access Initiative for Ontarians is a none for profit organization focused on healthcare accessibility.

Role Description Event and social media volunteers will support the planning, coordination, and execution of community events that promote Amicus Health Access Initiative and its services. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with event logistics, greeting and engaging attendees, collecting feedback, and helping with in office setup and teardown.

Volunteers will also support social media activities, such as drafting posts, sharing event updates, responding to comments, and monitoring engagement across platforms. This is a on-site volunteer role based in Ottawa, ON, working closely with the outreach and communications team to increase public awareness and community involvement.

Qualifications





- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to engage with community members and event participants.
- Event Planning and Event Marketing abilities to support the design, promotion, and execution of outreach activities are valuable assets.
- Comfort using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn) for outreach and engagement.
- Ability to work on-site in Ottawa, ON, including some evenings or weekends as events require.
- Organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail in managing tasks and timelines.
- Interest in healthcare access, community service, or non-profit work; prior volunteer or event experience is an asset.
- Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and interact respectfully with people from different backgrounds.
