Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drills with precision and safety in mind.
- Assist with site preparation by performing tasks like grading, trenching, loading materials, and site clearing.
- Support construction activities by handling materials movement and ensuring equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work workplace for yourself and team members.




- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as Caterpillar machinery to identify maintenance needs or repairs.
- Assist with general labour duties on-site as needed to support project progress.

Skills

- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with heavy equipment.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar brand machinery confidently and safely.
- Skilled in loader operation, grader operation, paving techniques, and dozer handling.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and best practices.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent for transporting equipment when necessary.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
