Role Description The Experienced Arborist and Tree Climber is a part-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This role involves climbing and working safely in trees, performing pruning, removals, cabling, and other arboricultural services to industry standards.

Responsibilities include assessing tree health and structure, identifying risks, recommending appropriate treatments, and operating chain saws, chippers, and other equipment safely. The arborist will assist with job setup and cleanup, support permit and compliance processes when needed, and maintain a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction,



and teamwork throughout each project.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of forestry practices and principles, including secure work methods in urban tree environments.
- Proficiency in tree identification, including common species found in Toronto, Richmond Hill, and the broader GTA.
- Certified Arborist credential or equivalent arboriculture certification, with practical experience in professional tree care.
- Hands-on experience with arboriculture techniques for trees, including climbing, pruning, removal, and structural support.
- Ability to work safely at heights, operate chainsaws and related equipment, and follow all safety regulations and best practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving and maneuvering work trucks is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a crew environment, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions; willingness to work flexible part-time hours.
