Experienced pretester with diagnostic imaging, dispensing, and contact lens fitting skills wanted.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced dispenser with pretest experience to join our team in Calgary as a Supertech. You are confident with pretesting, diagnostic imaging, optical dispensing, and contact lens fittings, and enjoy educating and informing patients about their options, rather than focusing on pushing sales.

Responsibilities

· Perform patient pretesting, including visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry, lensometry, and case history.

· Scribing for doctors through eye examinations.

· Assist with optical dispensing, including frame and lens education, measurements, adjustments, and repairs.

· Perform contact lens fittings, insertion/removal training, and patient education.

Requirements

· Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or optical setting.

· Comfort using pretesting and diagnostic imaging equipment.





· Dispensing experience and contact lens fitting/training experience.

· Strong attention to detail, clear documentation, and excellent patient communication.

· Ability to multitask in a busy clinic and work well with doctors, opticians, and front desk staff.

Position Details

· Job type: Full-time

· Schedule: Clinic hours; 1-2 weekends per month.
