R.J.T. Blueberry Park Inc. is seeking an experienced Farm Operation Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our blueberry farm and the care of farm animals in Aldergrove, BC. The position is responsible for supervising farm workers, maintaining blueberry fields, caring for farm animals, operating and maintaining farm machinery, and ensuring that daily farm activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

Blueberry Farm Operations

- Supervise and coordinate general farm workers and seasonal harvesting workers.
- Oversee daily blueberry field maintenance, including pruning, irrigation, fertilizing, weed control and general crop care.
- Monitor blueberry plants for crop health, pests, diseases and other growing conditions.
- Coordinate and assist with harvesting and other seasonal farm activities.
- Operate and maintain tractors and other farm machinery and equipment.
- Inspect farm equipment and arrange maintenance or repairs when required.
- Maintain farm fields and general agricultural work areas.

Animal Care
- Provide and supervise daily care of farm animals, including feeding, watering and maintaining clean and safe animal areas.
- Monitor the health and general condition of animals and identify signs of illness, injury or abnormal behaviour.
- Maintain and follow routine animal health-care schedules, including regular deworming, vaccinations and other preventive health measures, and coordinate with veterinarians when necessary.




- Assist with the protected handling and movement of farm animals when required.
- Maintain animal enclosures, fencing, shelters, feeding areas and related farm facilities.
- Coordinate daily animal-care duties with other farm workers.
- Maintain basic records of animal health care, vaccinations and routine treatments.

Farm Supervision and General Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the work of approximately 5–10 farm workers when required.
- Assign daily duties and monitor the quality and completion of farm work.
- Train and guide workers in safe work procedures, proper use of farm equipment and routine farm practices.
- Maintain basic records related to farm activities, equipment maintenance and animal care.
- Ensure farm work areas are kept clean, organized and safe.
- Perform other general farm duties as required.

Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 to less than 5 years of relevant farm experience.
- Experience in blueberry or other fruit crop production and maintenance.
- Experience caring for farm animals.
- Experience operating tractors and other farm machinery.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating farm workers.
- Able to perform physically demanding outdoor farm work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
