Basic Function and Scope

The Financial Analyst provides financial and accounting expertise and support to the organization and its decision-making processes and assumes key responsibilities for internal and external financial reporting.

The Financial

Analyst delivers consistent, accurate, and timely information and analysis while providing excellent customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.

Pay Rate

$33.80-$46.79

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Degree in business or relevant program of study;

Experience

Minimum 3 years financial / clinical analysis experience including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and business case development (healthcare preferred)

Demonstrated experience in account reconciliations and year-end external audit

Experience using multiple data sources (financial, statistical, case costing, CIHI databases, Ministry data) to develop and prepare analysis

Required Skills

Demonstrated ability to foster cooperative relationships with clinical and administrative leaders across the organization and within the region

Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines, address critical issues relating to changing organizational climate and personnel issues.

Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and organization skills in order to meet conflicting priorities/deadlines

Prior experience in using and/or implementing major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or a health care financial module and Business Intelligence software

Advanced proficiency in MS Office products, especially MS Excel and Power Point

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of OHRS and MIS reporting requirements

Knowledge of Long Term Care reporting requirements

Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and development

Maintains professional currency;

Maintains regular attendance at work;

Performs related duties as assigned.
