Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support when needed, ensuring smooth operation during busy hours
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality or guest experience
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar technology enhances efficiency on the floor
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Basic math skills for processing payments, making change, and managing tabs accurately
- Experience in food industry roles involving serving, cashiering, or food preparation is advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment
