Your Opportunity!
Reporting to the Food and Nutrition Manager, the Food Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient preparation and delivery of meals to the residents within legislative requirements. The food service supervisor will ensure the residents enjoy a pleasurable dining experience within the scope of the dietary practice.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
· Assist with the planning and organizing of the activities within the dietary department
· Assist with establishing workflow patterns
· Ensures the provision of high-quality food service
· Orders and recieves food and kitchen supplies
· Supervises the activities of the dietary department
· Coordinates dietary activities with other departments
· Assists in monitoring and evaluation of performance staff
· Ensures cost control procedures are in place
· Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and any collective agreement
Qualifications:
· Diploma in Food Service Supervision from a recognized program
· Current membership in the Ontario Society of Nutritional Management
· Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management (required)
· 1 year of progressive related experience in LTC preferred
· 1 year of management experience preferred
· A Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Screening check to the satisfaction of Primacare™ Living Solutions.
· Proof of full immunization (2 doses) against COVID-19
