Reports to: Country Managing Director · Location: Nairobi · Type: Full time, senior

Purpose: Secure and protect the regulatory and policy conditions that let CPAT deploy national track-and-trace and import Canadian medicines.

Key responsibilities

•⁠ ⁠Manage day-to-day relationships with the Ministry of Health, KEMSA, the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (and its successor authority), and the Digital Health Agency.

•⁠ ⁠Track the transition of pharmaceutical regulation and brief leadership on any change to mandates or officeholders.

•⁠ ⁠Shape traceability regulations and guidelines through consultations, technical working groups and written submissions.

•⁠ ⁠Align CPAT's platform with Practice 360, Facility 360 and Compliance 360.

•⁠ ⁠Prepare and manage public tenders, framework agreements and government MoUs.





•⁠ ⁠Coordinate with the Canadian High Commission, Global Affairs Canada and Export Development Canada on bilateral support.

Requirements

•⁠ ⁠10+ years in health policy, pharmaceutical regulation or public affairs in Kenya.

•⁠ ⁠Working knowledge of the Pharmacy and Poisons Act, the Digital Health Act 2023 and public procurement law.

•⁠ ⁠Experience drafting policy submissions and managing tender processes.

•⁠ ⁠Law, public policy, pharmacy or public health degree.

Success measures: traceability referenced in national guidelines with CPAT/OPTEL alignment; zero licensing delays; tender pipeline qualified and submitted on time.
