At Nutritionally Organics & Wellness Market and our in-house Smoothyz Cafe, we provide our community with clinical-grade supplements, health foods, and a vibrant superfood smoothie and juice bar. We take a clinical approach to nutrition, helping customers understand the science behind their health choices—from supplement forms to optimal protein-to-fiber ratios.

The Role

We are seeking a Health & Wellness Advisor / Cafe Associate for a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will work alongside a certified nutrition professional in a supportive environment.

This is a dual-role position:

- Retail Floor: Greet customers, answer wellness questions, and help navigate our selection of vitamins, proteins, and specialty supplements.
- Cafe Bar: Efficiently prepare and serve superfood smoothies, juices, and cafe items while maintaining a clean, sanitized workspace.

Key Responsibilities Wellness & Supplement Advisory:

- Greet and consult with customers to understand their health goals.
- Provide accurate, friendly information on vitamins, supplements, and sports nutrition.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products on our shelves.

Cafe & Smoothie Bar Operations:

- Prepare and serve high-quality smoothies,



juices, and cafe items efficiently.
- Maintain a spotlessly clean, sanitized, and organized cafe workstation.
- Follow recipes precisely while handling special dietary requests/allergies.

Retail Excellence:

- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and handle cash.
- Stock shelves, manage inventory rotation (FIFO), and ensure the store looks pristine.
- Bring positive, adaptable energy to a changing retail schedule (including weekends and evenings).

Store Hours & Scheduling

- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekends: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Availability: Flexible availability throughout the week (including weekends) is required.

What Is Expected From You

- Work a minimum of 30 hours per week, maintaining flexible availability throughout the week.
- Provide welcoming, personalized customer service by actively listening to customers' health and wellness goals.
- Educate shoppers on our products, explaining the benefits, optimal forms, and uses of various vitamins, proteins, and specialty supplements in an accessible way.
- Handle daily retail operations smoothly, including processing transactions, managing inventory, and restocking shelves.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment throughout the market.
- Collaborate effectively with our existing staff, bringing a helpful and adaptable attitude to our small business dynamic.

What We Are Looking For

- Experience & Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of dietary supplements, vitamins,



and sports nutrition. Experience in supplement retail or a nutrition-related diploma/certificate is an asset, but a great attitude and eagerness to learn are most important.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, specifically the ability to translate nutritional information into friendly, easy-to-understand advice.
- A genuine passion for holistic health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals.
- Reliability and a team-player mindset that thrives in a small business environment.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of a retail environment (e.g., standing during shifts, light lifting for inventory restocking).
