Hiring Unit: Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures

The German Studies program, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Montréal, is organizing an exhibit on Gottfried Fuchs.

The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures has the chance to host the exhibit for a two-week period in Fall 2026 and is seeking a Communications Assistant A for this exhibit.

Position Summary

- Help produce promotional materials
- Communicate with guests/partners on very specific tasks that the supervisor delegates them
- Transport the posters to and from McGill
- Help hang up and take down posters
- Organize refreshments and other small things for the reception
- Other light tasks

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

- Speak German (at least at an intermediate level)

This position is covered by the AMUSE Collective Agreement.

Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
