Job Description MISSION The French Translator is responsible for supporting the various French language needs of the business. KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS Delivery of clear and concise communications that adhere to Indigo brand guidelines KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Functional Translate and adapt English-to-French retail marketing content, including in-store signage, emails, packaging, promotional campaigns, product descriptions, and contest rules Translate and adapt corporate content, including internal and store communications, ensuring clear, accurate, and consistent messaging for diverse audiences Review, proofread and correct a wide range of materials to ensure that they are accurate for the French-Canadian audience Ensure client and audience satisfaction Possess the ability to capture corporate voice and tone in translations Deliver quality content in an efficient and timely manner Act as an advocate for the customer by placing them at the forefront of all decision-making and design processes Proactively identify and anticipate customer expectations and needs Embrace and seek out technology that creates high-tech and high-touch solutions for Indigos customers Challenge the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them SCOPE Reports to: Manager, Retail Experience and Communications Manager once Removed (MOR): Director, Retail Experience and Communications KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Team members All business units External: Freelancers Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience/Education/Certifications Bachelor''s degree or higher in translation, 1-3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education Communications, retail,



marketing and product description translation experience Competencies/Skills/Attributes Bilingual French and English communication and written skills Proficiency in both French and English grammar Ability to determine and enforce quality standards in all projects Ability to interpret the meaning of English texts and transpose it to French Ability to understand the company voice and to accurately reflect it in translations Proficiency in post-editing machine and AI-generated translations Superior problem-solving skills and sense of urgency Ability to work well under pressure, to establish a timeline and to multitask daily Ability to work independently, to prioritize workload efficiently and to manage assignments Solid proficiency in MS Office Knowledge of Logiterm is considered an asset Please note: shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a translation test.
