Landscape Construction Lead Hand

Location: Kitchener–Waterloo and surrounding area

Job type: Full-time, permanent

Pay: Based on experience and demonstrated skill

Visscher Landscapes builds high-end residential outdoor spaces, including interlock patios and driveways, retaining walls, natural stone features, steps, lighting, and planting. We’re looking for an experienced lead hand who takes pride in precise work and can help keep a project moving safely and efficiently.

What you’ll do

- Install interlock, retaining walls, steps, and other landscape construction features to a high standard.
- Help lay out work, prepare bases, manage grades and drainage, and deliver clean finishes.
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and compactors where experienced and trained.
- Work alongside the foreman to organize daily tasks, guide less experienced crew members, and solve problems on site.
- Keep job sites organized and communicate clearly when something needs attention.

What we’re looking for

- At least 3 years of hands-on landscape construction experience, with solid hardscape installation skills.
- The ability to work from a plan, understand grades,



and recognize quality issues before they become rework.
- Dependability: you show up prepared, follow through, and take ownership of your work.
- Good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a crew.
- Reliable transportation to the shop or job sites. Equipment experience is an asset.

You’ll work on detailed projects where craftsmanship matters, with the tools and equipment to do the work properly. There is room to take on more responsibility as you demonstrate your ability. Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
