Our client is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function for a lean manufacturing operation.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being involved in both the strategic and day-to-day aspects of finance, while serving as a key business partner to operations and leadership.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Controller will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, manufacturing costing, forecasting, compliance, and general accounting activities for the business.

This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a growing organization while gaining exposure to significant business initiatives and operational projects.

Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports Manage general ledger activities and ensure the integrity of financial information Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, labour analysis, and overhead allocations Support budgeting,



forecasting, and financial planning activities Analyze operational and financial performance and provide actionable insights to management Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate reporting requirements Partner closely with operational leaders to improve processes and financial visibility Support special projects, business initiatives, and due diligence activities Supervise and mentor one direct report This role is well suited for someone who enjoys ownership, stability, and variety in their work.
