About Us The Lasalle All-Day Walk-in Clinic is a dynamic and fast-paced clinic dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to the Sudbury community. We provide general primary care, urgent care, preventative care, and minor procedures.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated Nurse (RPN or RN) in positive standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario to work collaboratively with physicians, enhance clinic efficiency, and provide excellent patient care.

Position Overview The Nurse will play an important role in patient care and clinic flow, performing nursing assessments and procedures while preparing patients for efficient physician assessment and medical decision-making. Experience working with pediatrics major asset.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Patient Assessment & Clinic Flow

- Conduct focused nursing assessments, including relevant histories, vital signs, measurements, and screenings.
- Obtain and document height, weight, and other appropriate measurements, including growth measurements for infants and young children.
- Identify abnormal findings or concerns requiring physician assessment.
- Prepare patients and relevant clinical information before physician assessment to facilitate efficient patient flow.

Medication Renewal Support
- Perform medication reconciliation for patients requesting prescription renewals.
- Confirm medication name, dose, frequency, adherence, and medications requiring renewal.
- Obtain medication-specific history, relevant vital signs and measurements.
- Identify medication concerns, adverse effects, discrepancies, or monitoring requirements for physician review.
- Prepare medication-renewal information for the physician, who will make the final clinical decision and issue the prescription.

Immunizations & Injections




- Administer and appropriately document routine vaccinations, including childhood and school-readiness immunizations.
- Administer prescribed injectable medications including vitamin B12, testosterone, long-acting injectable medications, and other appropriate therapies.
- Administer allergy immunotherapy according to established protocols, including appropriate monitoring and documentation.
- Administer inhalation therapies when indicated.
- Perform, read, and document TB skin tests.

Clinical Procedures
- Provide wound care, including cleansing, dressing, packing, and other wound-management procedures within nursing scope and competency.
- Perform dressing changes.
- Perform suture and staple removal.
- Assist with and/or perform appropriate minor procedures within nursing scope and competency.
- Assist with wart treatment where appropriate
- Perform cervical screening/specimen collection where appropriately trained and competent; training can be provided.

Forms & Administrative Support
- Assist with MTO medical forms and similar assessments by obtaining relevant history, vital signs, measurements, and other required information for physician review.
- Prepare and pre-populate appropriate portions of medical forms while leaving medical decision-making and physician certification/signature to the physician.
- Assist with school, immunization, and other medical forms.




- Coordinate patient flow and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system (TELUS CHR).
- Assist with referrals, test follow-up, and communication with external healthcare providers as appropriate.

Health Promotion & Patient Education
- Provide patient education regarding medications, chronic disease management, immunizations, and preventative health.
- Provide appropriate counselling regarding smoking cessation, weight management, and healthy lifestyle measures.
- Participate in infection-control practices and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with physicians and other clinic staff to provide efficient, patient-centred care.
- Collaborate with physicians to work on research projects.

Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN or RN.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills.
- Comfortable administering vaccinations, injections, and performing routine nursing procedures.
- Ability to care for diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and seniors.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, high-volume clinical environment.
- Ability to recognize abnormal findings and appropriately escalate concerns to the physician.
- Ability to work both independently within nursing scope and collaboratively with physicians and clinic staff.
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, walk-in/urgent care, immunizations, wound care, or TELUS CHR is considered an asset.
- Experience with pediatrics is considered a major asset.

Compensation Starting wage: $35.00 per hour

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
