About Tandem Clinic
Tandem Clinic is an integrative medical clinic in Vancouver dedicated to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered care. Our team works collaboratively to support patients using naturopathic and integrative approaches to health.
We are seeking a part-time Office Assistant for two evening shifts per week (Wednesday & Thursday evening) with the opportunity to take on additional shifts / for an expanded role . The ideal candidate is someone who understands and is a champion for naturopathic medicine, not just someone looking for an admin job.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has worked in a naturopathic or integrative clinic in the past
- Understands what an ND does and their role in our healthcare system
- Is comfortable explaining naturopathic care to patients
- Takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
What You’ll Do You will coordinate patient care from start to finish, including:
- Patient check-in, room prep
- Maintaining practitioner schedules
- Direct billing & patient payments
- Managing recalls and EMR (JaneApp experience preferred)
- Handling lab reports
- Maintaining exam room readiness and infection control standards
- Opening/closing duties and clinic upkeep
You are the operational backbone of the clinic - ensuring each day runs smoothly by coordinating patient flow, supporting practitioners, maintaining schedules, and creating a calm, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and clinicians.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience in a medical clinic setting
- Transparent understanding of naturopathic medicine and ability to confidently explain what an ND does
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable with EMRs
Assets:
- Experience with JaneApp
- Experience at a naturopathic or integrative clinic
- Experience with direct billing
This Role Is NOT For You If:
- You are applying broadly to “any office job” - specific experience is required
- You are not familiar with naturopathic healthcare - you must be a champion for holistic healthcare
- You are uncomfortable discussing integrative medicine with patients - this is a patient facing role
- You are just starting out your career as an office assistant and require supervision and training on the basics - you will be required to work independently
- You are looking for a hybrid role - this is an in-office position
Why Work With Us?
- Meaningful work in patient-centered care
- Supportive and professional clinic culture
- Opportunity to grow within integrative healthcare
If you’re passionate about naturopathic healthcare, enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, and want to play a meaningful role in helping patients feel supported and cared for, we’d love to hear from you. If this sounds like a place where you could do your best work, please apply with your resume and cover letter. Applications without a cover letter will be rejected.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Application question(s)
- How would you explain what a naturopath does to a new patient?
