We are seeking a motivated and dependable Occasional On-Call Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities team. This role offers flexible, paid opportunities for students who are eager to contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. As an on-call cleaner, you will play a vital part in ensuring our spaces are hygienic and well-maintained, supporting the overall operations of the organization.

This position is perfect for students looking to gain practical experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance while balancing their academic commitments.

Duties

- Perform cleaning tasks across various areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct routine cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Assist with light facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including replacing supplies and reporting maintenance issues.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Respond promptly to ad hoc cleaning requests or special event setups to support facility operations.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies,



ensuring they are used efficiently and stored properly.
- Document completed tasks and report any issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled as a student with flexible availability for on-call shifts.
- Prior experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment is preferred.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly.
