Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication reminders and health monitoring
- Support meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe setting
- Help with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, to prevent falls and injuries
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document all care activities diligently
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Experience
- Prior assisted living or nursing home experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in home or facility settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, or other specialized senior care is advantageous
- Proven ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, empathy, and professionalism
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and basic nursing tasks is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and connect with clients
