We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Infrastructure team in a full-time, position based at any of our Ontario offices.

Reporting to the Discipline Lead, you will provide technical and design leadership on preliminary and detailed transportation engineering projects for MTO and local municipalities.

In this role, you will work in multidisciplinary project teams, maintain client relationships, and participate in business development efforts to ensure successful project delivery.

This is a recent position and can be based at any one of our following offices: Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Vaughn, Oakville, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Chatham, or Windsor.

Design and Project Delivery

Lead technical design and delivery for transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, structural, electrical and water resource engineers, transportation systems planners, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff, etc.)Continuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, including transportation master plans, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase services





Participate in the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of civil infrastructure designs, including EA documentation

Participate in the preparation of Contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimates

Management and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentations

Business Development

Prepare estimates and project proposals

Contribute to the leadership and growth of the Transportation group

Contribute to the development of public and private sector client relationships and new business opportunities

Business travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon request

Learning & Development

Contribute to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring

Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesA degree in civil or transportation engineering

Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of Ontario, or eligible to be licensed within six monthsA minimum of 8 years'' professional experience, preferably in the consulting industry Proven experience in environmental assessment, preliminary and detailed design of municipal and provincial transportation facilities.

Experience with the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario and alternative project delivery models would be an asset

Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary projects and teams

Exceptional abilities in project management

In-depth understanding of business issues associated with consulting engineering and planning

Proven skills in public and agency consultation

Experience in the geometric design of highways, municipal roads and intersections

Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D or Bentley Open

Roads would be an asset

Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential

Compensation$82,900 - $132,900At Dillon, we believe in transparency.

The following salary range is what we expect to offer for this position.





It will be dependent on the successful applicant's education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
