Position Title: Quality Control (QC)

Department: Quality Control / Production

Reporting To: Management

Key Responsibilities

- Support the establishment and implementation of the facility’s food safety and quality management system in compliance with CFIA and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR) requirements.
- Assist with CFIA licensing, regulatory compliance, inspections, audits, and related documentation for the processing facility.
- Develop, maintain, and implement the facility’s Preventive Control Plan (PCP), SOPs, GMP, sanitation, traceability, recall, and other food safety programs.
- Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of production, processing, packaging, storage, sanitation, temperature control, and employee hygiene practices.
- Identify and investigate food safety or quality issues and coordinate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate QC, food safety, traceability, and regulatory records and ensure documentation is audit-ready.




- Provide food safety and quality training and guidance to production employees.
- Work with Production and Management to continuously improve food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Previous quality control / food safety experience in a federally regulated food-processing environment is strongly preferred.
- Good working knowledge of CFIA requirements, SFCR, PCP, GMP, sanitation, traceability, and recall procedures.
- Experience supporting CFIA licensing, inspections, or regulatory audits is a robust asset.
- HACCP or other recognized food safety training/certification is preferred.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Able to work in a refrigerated food-processing environment.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
