We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on various therapeutic modalities. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various challenges.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the needs of clients.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address clients' specific needs, including PTSD care, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and behavioral therapy.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for billing purposes.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with other healthcare providers and support services.
- Offer telehealth services as needed to ensure accessibility for clients.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and outcomes.
- Provide support for patients with developmental disabilities and autism through tailored therapeutic approaches.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient and outpatient settings to enhance patient care.
Experience
- A Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential is preferred.
- Must be registered and in good standing with the CRPO.
- Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health concepts, crisis management techniques, and patient assessment protocols is essential.
- Previous experience in hospital settings or clinics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records management is required.
