The Team Lead
Days oversees a team of approximately 24 employees across receiving, materials, and shipping, providing hands-on leadership to ensure safe, efficient operations and on-time delivery.

This role combines daily team coordination, performance accountability, and process oversight with direct participation in the work to maintain steady workflow and high-quality output.
**Responsibilities**
Lead a team of about 24 employees across receiving, materials, and shipping, ensuring clear direction and support throughout the day.

Communicate daily schedules, goals, performance expectations, and team member assignments to the assigned area team.

Provide hands-on leadership by actively participating in daily operations to maintain workflow and ensure on-time completion of tasks.

Assist with supervisory tasks, including supporting employee performance evaluations in collaboration with the area supervisor.

Perform regular process audits and safety sweeps to verify compliance with procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.

Deliver employee training, including Training Within Industry (TWI), to build skills and reinforce best practices.

Review 6S conditions, tools, fixtures, and material availability daily to ensure the area is organized, safe, and fully prepared for production needs.

Take accountability for the performance of the assigned area, monitoring output, quality, and efficiency and taking corrective action when needed.

Help resolve issues related to inventory, materials, tools, bills of materials (BOMs), and supplier or supply chain concerns that impact the assigned area.

Act as a liaison between manufacturing, supply chain, and shipping to coordinate activities and ensure on-time delivery to customers and internal stakeholders.

Generate non-conformance reports for material, manufacturing, quality, or design issues discovered in the area.

Perform direct labor and other hands-on functions within the group as needed to maintain the flow of work and support team members.

Assist in coordinating the handling, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming product within the assigned area.

Support continuous improvement projects within the assigned area and other areas of expertise, contributing ideas and implementing changes.

Help identify and correct safety improvement opportunities, promoting a proactive safety culture.

Serve as a backup for Health & Safety responsibilities when the supervisor is not present, ensuring continuity of safety oversight.
**Essential Skills**
23 years of experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.

Proven experience managing a team of 10 or more individuals, including assigning work and monitoring performance.

Hands-on experience working in receiving, materials, and shipping departments.
ERP and scheduling experience, including using systems to plan, track, and adjust workloads.

Valid counterbalance (CB) forklift license with practical forklift operating experience.

Strong understanding of inventory processes, materials flow, and related documentation.

Ability to conduct process audits, safety sweeps, and training sessions effectively.

Demonstrated accountability for area performance, including quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and shipping teams.





Ability to generate and manage non-conformance reports and support corrective actions.

Comfort working in a hands-on role, performing direct labor tasks when needed to support the team.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working with 6S or similar workplace organization and continuous improvement methodologies.

Training Within Industry (TWI) or other structured training programs.

Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs) and basic supply chain concepts.

Experience participating in or leading continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory, material, tool, and process issues.

Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

Comfort in a performance-driven environment with regular feedback and development opportunities.

You are part of a team of approximately 24 people and collaborate closely with a warehouse supervisor.

This is a day shift role, typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in a structured warehouse and manufacturing setting that uses ERP systems, material handling equipment such as counterbalance forklifts, and organized inventory and shipping processes.

The facility emphasizes organization, cleanliness, and safety through 6S practices and regular audits, creating a clean, modern, and well-managed workplace.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Brampton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $66560.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
