**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
This role focuses on forming copper wires and coils through hands-on production work and careful manual processes.

You will rotate through different positions within the facility, gaining exposure to various tasks such as taping electric discharge tape around coils and working with CNC machines.

After a three-month contract period, you will transition to a permanent role in the department where you demonstrate the strongest performance and fit.
**Responsibilities**
Form copper wires and coils using manual labor and precise handwork.

Tape electric discharge tape around coils with a high level of attention to detail.

Operate CNC machines and follow established production procedures.

Perform general labor tasks, including production, assembly, and machine operation as assigned.

Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.

Move throughout the facility to support different production areas and learn various roles.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.

Assist with basic setup and changeover of machines as needed.

Support production coordination activities and contribute to meeting quality and output goals.
**Essential Skills**
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors.

Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a production or manufacturing environment.
12 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in copper-related work or general production.

Comfort working in a physically demanding role that involves manual labor and standing for extended periods.

Attention to detail when handling materials and taping electric discharge tape around coils.

Basic ability to operate machines and follow standard operating procedures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or production setting.

Familiarity with setup and changeover processes for production equipment.

Exposure to NEMA testing and quality verification processes.

Experience in production coordination or assisting with production scheduling.

Willingness to learn new roles and adapt to different departments within the facility.

**Work Environment**

The environment involves hands-on work with copper materials, coils, CNC machines, hand tools, and power tools, and requires comfort with manual labor and moving between different areas of the facility.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barrie, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.60 - $17.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
