About the Company Forge Recruitment is pleased to support a leading Vancouver law firm in their search for an Estate Litigation Paralegal to join their team.
About the Role Serve as a primary contact for clients, delivering clear and timely communication while fostering strong, professional relationships with clients, counsel, court staff, and other stakeholders.
Organize and maintain case files, calendars, and key deadlines; coordinate searches, document production, and correspondence.
Draft, edit, proofread, and file a wide range of legal documents, such as pleadings, affidavits, probate applications, and court filings, in compliance with procedural rules.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, court appearances, mediations, trials, and other legal proceedings, ensuring all logistics and materials are in place.
Manage all stages of estate administration alongside counsel, including asset gathering, debt settlement, and beneficiary distributions, while preparing required consents, releases, and accounting documentation.
Coach, train, and mentor junior staff and articling students; provide coverage and workload support while contributing to a collaborative and positive team environment.
Prepare for hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations by assembling records, coordinating witnesses,
and supporting case strategies with research, summaries, and memoranda.
The Offer The firm offers a generous compensation package ranging between $60,000 - $80,000, a comprehensive benefits package and work from home flexibility.
What You Bring 5+ years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on Estate Litigation. A Legal Assistant or Paralegal Certificate or Diploma is required.
In-depth understanding of legal procedures and documentation, including experience with electronic filings and knowledge of applicable court rules.
Skilled in drafting legal documents independently using sound judgment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and commonly used legal software Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Solid organizational and time-management abilities, capable of handling competing priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and a focus on collaborative, solution-driven work.
