Nation-based foster care practices while promoting cultural values and supporting families in your community. Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Anishinaabe Foster Care Worker delivers an essential program reflecting the traditions and customs of the First Nation served by KGCFS. Preferred applicants will have a Bachelor of Social Work or a relevant diploma and at least two years of direct child welfare experience.

You will utilize your knowledge of Anishinaabe culture to engage with families, supporting their journey toward healthier lifestyles. Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure the effective delivery of the Foster Care Program
- Blend social work practices with Anishinaabe methods




- Actively participate in cultural and community events
- Guide families towards improved wellbeing and support
- Adhere to community and legislative standards Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Two years of experience in child welfare
- Knowledge of Anishinaabe traditions is essential
- Willingness to engage with traditional practices
- Obtain police clearance and maintain driver's insurance Champion the values and traditions of the Anishinaabe as you support families through KGCFS's Foster Care Program.
