Drive community engagement in Thunder Bay as a Volunteer Coordinator. You will manage the Recreation & Culture Division’s volunteer program while fostering connections and making an impact each day. As the Volunteer Program Coordinator, your focus will be on enhancing volunteer experiences and operational efficiency.

You will play a critical role in recruitment, training, and event coordination while supporting volunteers across various initiatives. Your leadership and coordination will ensure successful volunteer involvement that enriches the community. Key Responsibilities:

- Recruit, train, and engage volunteers for city programs
- Implement volunteer management software and provide necessary support
- Plan and execute volunteer training and recognition initiatives




- Monitor and evaluate volunteer placements
- Develop marketing strategies to promote volunteerism Requirements:
- Degree in recreation, human resources, or related discipline
- Minimum two years of experience in volunteer management
- Experience in community development and program planning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
