Markham, ON | Hybrid (Open to relocation within Canada)

Compensation: $170,000-$195,000 CAD Equity

I'm currently partnering with a well funded technology company building advanced computer vision, sensing, and perception systems for robotics, intelligent automation, and AI-driven applications.

Following $40M in recent funding, the company is scaling rapidly and investing heavily in hardware, perception, data infrastructure, and next-generation sensor platforms.

We're looking for a CV & Sensor Calibration Engineer to lead the development, validation, and scaling of camera and sensor calibration systems across a growing hardware fleet.

This is a highly autonomous role where you'll work directly with multi-camera systems, IMUs, embedded hardware, and production deployments to ensure data quality, calibration accuracy, and system performance at scale.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the development and improvement of camera and sensor calibration processes across a growing hardware platform
- Validate and refine intrinsic, extrinsic and multi-sensor alignment parameters
- Design and maintain calibration tooling, automation, validation workflows, and quality-control processes
- Support production, manufacturing, and deployment activities involving camera and sensor systems
- Work closely with hardware, embedded, and perception teams to improve performance and reliability
- Investigate and resolve calibration, synchronization, and data-quality issues
- Build scalable processes that support both factory deployment and field operation
- Drive improvements in calibration repeatability, robustness, and operational efficiency





What They're Looking For

- Hands-on experience with camera calibration, including intrinsic and extrinsic calibration workflows
- Experience working with stereo vision, multi-camera systems, or multi-sensor platforms
- Practical experience with IMUs, sensor alignment, synchronization, and calibration
- Understanding of sensor fusion fundamentals and how calibration quality impacts downstream perception systems
- Experience building production-grade calibration tooling, infrastructure, or automated validation workflows
- Strong problem solving skills and a methodical approach to debugging data quality issues
- Comfortable working directly with physical hardware, not just software systems
- Experience operating in fast-paced engineering environments with significant ownership and autonomy
- Fluent in Mandarin and willingness to work closely with manufacturing teams in China

Nice To Have

- Robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, AR/VR, automotive perception, industrial automation, or machine vision experience
- Experience with OpenCV, Kalibr, ROS, or similar calibration frameworks
- Factory calibration, manufacturing validation, or production deployment experience
- Experience calibrating camera-IMU systems or larger multi-sensor rigs
- Understanding of uncertainty analysis, error modelling, and sensor performance evaluation
- Experience supporting hardware deployments at scale
- Experience collaborating with global manufacturing teams and international production environments
