Day to day, you'll be working with decision optimization tools , managing carrier performance reporting , and collaborating with internal teams like Capacity Planning, Offshore Logistics, and Distribution Centres, as well as external partners such as ocean carriers and CTC's origin cargo management service provider.

About the Role: Data Analyst, International Transportation This position is responsible for managing the offshore ocean inbound product flow into Canada. You'll support the Manager and Team Lead across all aspects of

Ocean Transport operations , including carrier allocation optimization, forecasting, tracking of minimum quantity commitments (MQCs), and ocean container management . You'll also contribute to contract negotiation support and analysis of offshore lead times across all lanes.

Collaboration is central to this role. You'll serve as the key contact for ocean operations data for both internal and external stakeholders, communicating data-backed insights concisely to team members and leadership. Whether you're working through ambiguous operational issues or supporting strategic projects, you'll be expected to bring analytical rigour and clear communication to everything you do.

Responsibilities This role covers a wide range of supply chain and data analytics functions tied to international ocean freight. Support the day-to-day operational relationship with CTC's origin cargo management service provider

Manage operational relationships with third-party ocean carrier and air freight service providers

Analyze port dwell times and ocean transit lead times, and make recommendations to Capacity Planning for Path And Leg (PAL) lead time updates

Develop and manage ocean carrier performance reporting metrics, using data analytics for trend identification and problem anticipation

Assist in strategic and tactical projects, leveraging data analytics across all project phases and presenting concise, data-backed analysis to support informed decision-making

Requirements / Skills The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical data skills and supply chain operations knowledge . Canadian Tire is looking for someone who can work independently, navigate ambiguity, and communicate findings clearly to both frontline teams and leadership.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, VBA, Visio, Access, and CPLEX for turning data into actionable insights

2 years of relevant experience in operations planning and logistics

Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Interpersonal and relationship-building skills for working with cross-functional teams and external vendors

Excellent verbal and written communication skills , with the ability to present concise, data-driven recommendations

Experience negotiating with and managing third-party service providers and vendors

Familiarity with CTC systems and supply chain processes is considered an asset

Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar. Experience negotiating with and managing 3rd party service providers/vendors. Familiarity with internal CTC systems and supply chain processes is an asset.
