OverviewOEM Remanufacturing is Finning’s flagship reman facility rebuilding some of the largest Caterpillar mining equipment in the world. Our Technical Services department is looking for someone like you to join our dynamic production support team. Working directly with Technical Services and Production personnel, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating and producing detailed high-quality process and production documentation in support of OEM’s strategy of building high quality engine components by relying on strong processes and detailed documentation to improve quality, repeatability and consistency. In this role, you will learn how certain Caterpillar engine components are processed through the remanufacturing process and gain exposure to the support processes that aid in production velocity improvements and cost reduction.ResponsibilitiesOverall production support ownership of Recent Product Implementation as well as existing product familiesCombine Caterpillar Technical information with OEM process and procedures to create clear and concise best practice production support documentationCoordinate with Product Groups to validate technical specification and shop floor practices to ensure final production meets the appropriate final product requirementsProduce or arrange for illustration purposes, drawings and photographs included in the documentationMaintain the accuracy and consistency of all technical documentation via Document Change Requests (DCRs)Work with Product Groups to implement and roll out Technical Updates (e.G., Service Letter)Manage the document development, updating and reviewing processes to ensure timely completionSupport continuous improvement initiatives and other projects in the interests of production supportWork with Inspection to maintain the wheel hub & spindle crack report spreadsheetsSubmit Service Information Management System (SIMs)
