TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible

SALARY: $21.00 per Hour

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week

WORK SETTING: In-home/Employer’s home

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding the child.
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals for children and may undertake additional household tasks.
- Provide supervision and care for children in the employer’s residence in absence of parents.
- Follow the parent’s instructions to oversee children’s daily routines, including meals and rest period along with maintaining a safe and nurturing workplace within the home.
- Keep records of daily activities and maintain health information for each child, as required.




- Attend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development.
- Teach children about personal hygiene practices and administer discipline to children in accordance with the parents’ specified methods.
- Offer age-appropriate educational guidance through organized activities, such as games, crafts, reading, and outings.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Secondary School graduation required.
- Experience in similar position would be an asset.
- Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality, integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
- Overtime maybe required sometimes, and position could be physically demanding.
- Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organized, reliable and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Knowing other languages such as Gujarati & Hindi would be an asset.
