Become an essential part of Elk Valley Resources as an Industrial Safety Medic, overseeing health and safety at our coal mines in British Columbia. This role demands excellent interpersonal and organizational skills in a casual, flexible schedule.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Safety & Loss Control, you will manage health and safety measures, provide first aid services, and mentor employees in safety protocols. Adaptability, quick decision-making, and a strong critical thinking approach are crucial as you navigate varied work shifts in a vibrant setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce health and safety policies across the site
• Conduct audits and health inspections regularly
• Facilitate training and orientation for new hires
• Support incident investigations and health programs
• Manage site protection and fire safety systems
Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Advanced First Aid certification required
• Strong abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License needed
• Two years of industry safety experience preferred
