Job description:Vancouver Waldorf School (VWS), located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for a permanent part-time position for Grades 2-8. The available position will commence with the start of the 2026/2027 School year, with teaching days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.The applicant must have training in Physical Education. Waldorf teaching experience is preferred, and the applicant will be expected to prepare and deliver lesson plans per the Waldorf and BC Ministry of Education curriculums. The applicant must have the ability to work with children with a range of abilities across the different age groups.In addition to teaching the Waldorf School Physical Education curriculum to students in Grades 2-8, other duties will include:attendance at planning and training days during the two weeks prior to the first day of schoolevaluation of student progress,



oral and written report writing and parent meetingsparent interactionrecess supervision (negotiable)committee workManage facility bookings with North Van Recreation Centreattendance at department and faculty meetings and school specific events outside of regular teaching hoursregular career development sessionsSkills required include:Bachelor's degree in EducationBC Teaching Certificate or ability to qualifyExperience with and/or knowledge of Waldorf EducationExperience with Spacial Dynamics movement theoryTeachers at VWS must be certified to teach in BC.
