About Our Client
Our client is a well‑established, professional organization in Surrey seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide temporary administrative support. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized professional who is comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment and supporting a variety of administrative and member‑facing activities. Location: Surrey, BC Position Type: Temporary Duration: ASAP to November 13, 2026, with possibility of extension Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Compensation: $30–$35 per hour Responsibilities
Respond to general inquiries and provide professional administrative support Provide excellent customer and member service Assist with the coordination and administration of events, workshops, and meetings Prepare and distribute mass communications using Mailchimp and Outlook Update and maintain website content using WordPress Create and edit materials using Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator Manage event‑related information through Eventbrite Perform general administrative tasks, including document preparation, data entry, correspondence,
and record maintenance Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for day‑to‑day administrative activities Maintain accurate records and ensure a high level of attention to detail Handle confidential information appropriately Support multiple priorities and deadlines while working independently and as part of a team Provide additional administrative support as required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of related administrative experience Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Hands‑on experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Cloud/Illustrator, and Eventbrite Strong written and verbal English communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines Strong customer service and problem‑solving skills Professional, welcoming, and service‑oriented approach Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Professionalism, integrity, flexibility, and a positive can‑do attitude Previous experience working in a unionized setting is an asset
