This is a full‑time position based out of our Saskatoon head office, working a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional travel to the McIlvenna Bay Mine site and local communities.The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides strategic HR partnership and support to leadership within a dynamic mining environment. The role works closely with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, support organisational effectiveness, and foster a respectful, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace culture.Job Responsibilities:Partner with leaders to align people strategies with operational and business objectives.Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, acting as a trusted advisor on HR matters, workplace issues, and organisational effectiveness.Provide guidance on HR policies, employment legislation, performance management, employee relations, and progressive discipline.Support organisational design, workforce planning, and workforce optimisation initiatives to meet evolving operational requirements.Collaborate with HR, Indigenous Relations, and community stakeholders to support workforce development initiatives, talent pipelines, and community participation strategies.Coach leaders on employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, team development, accountability, and workplace culture.Lead and support workplace investigations, including interviews, fact‑finding, and investigation summaries.Support organisational initiatives including compensation reviews, leadership development, diversity and inclusion programmes, onboarding, training,



and change management activities.Monitor HR trends and workforce metrics to support decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.Represent the organisation professionally at community, recruitment, and public‑facing events.Job Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.8+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining or industrial sectors.Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning, and workforce development initiatives. Solid employee relations experience, including workplace investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.Experience working with Indigenous communities or supporting community workforce initiatives is considered an asset.Strong understanding of core HR functions, including workforce planning, talent management, organisational development, and leadership support.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and leadership coaching skills.Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities with the ability to manage changing priorities.Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and HR‑related technologies.Compensation and Benefits:We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $125,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
